Elections are indeed a serious affair, but this regional Police Commander has something better for you.
Apparently, ERECTIONS and ELECTIONS are not good friends.
Having discovered this (most probably by experience), DCOP Afful Boakye-Yiadom has now advised Police officers to limit their sexual urges ahead of the upcoming elections.
According to the Accra Region Commander of the Ghana Police Service, cutting down on sex would save the officers a lot of energy during the electioneering period.
“Control yourself, we all need the energy to work during the election. And I want to advise you to reduce your sex rounds so you can get the energy to work well before, during, and after the 2020 elections,” he says.
So there we have it, elections and erections, both demanding for attention and energy.
Critics however consider the remarks a direct attack to the officers’ privacy, terming it not part of police work.
“Is he going to say the same about the female police officers? This is an attack on the erection industry, and increased vilification of the male organ. The male organ has a mind of its own.”
