Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta has Langata MP Nixon Korir when the transfer window opens, having displayed exceptional ability to accurately take dangerous free-kicks.
Speaking to Shosho Media earlier this afternoon, Arteta expressed great optimism that the Langata MP will be a great asset to the team.
“Every team needs a good free-kick taker. We have carefully watched Nixon and realized he is what we have been looking for,” says an elated Arteta.
According to Arteta, Nixon Korir would rank in the class of the top 20 Premier League Takers of all time like Gareth Bale, Didier Drogba, and Frank Lampard.
“We have a problem with free kicks. Granit Xhaka is redeeming himself for the red card that he picked against Burnley. He scored third free-kick for Arsenal but still not good enough,” Arteta says.
Rating Nixon Korir above Xhaka means the Langata legislator is way better than Robin van Persie, Alexis Sanchez, and Thierry Henry on matters of free-kicks accuracy.
French top club Monaco has also expressed interest in the newly identified talent, with the club’s scouts already in Lang’ata for top-level negotiations with Nixon’s agent.
The agents have however cited difficulties in reaching Nixon who is said to have mysteriously disappeared immediately after the iconic free-kick at the London Ward mini-polls in Nakuru.
